Journal History

Jallu Law Review (JALLREV) was established in 2025 as part of Jallu Law School’s academic initiative to strengthen the tradition of legal research in Indonesia. The journal emerged from the need for a scholarly platform that accommodates critical, relevant, and responsive legal studies addressing social change and legal developments at both national and global levels.

From its inception, JALLREV has been designed as an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed law journal to ensure academic quality and objectivity in every publication. The journal is committed to serving as a space for dialogue among scholars, practitioners, and policymakers in developing progressive and contextually grounded legal thought, particularly in response to Indonesia’s legal challenges as part of the Global South.

With its inaugural issue published in 2025, JALLREV marks the beginning of an inclusive, collaborative academic community dedicated to advancing legal scholarship and promoting social justice.
